The best-selling, high-profile erotic romance novel by E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey will finally make its film adaptation and already has a scheduled release date. Directed by British visual artist and filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson, script written by screenwriter Kelly Marcel and produced by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and James, the movie according to Focus Features, will hit theaters for an August 1, 2014 opening.
