It is no question that this season has been the worst for American Idol as its ratings hit an all-time low. And it looks like we’re only just starting to see the gravity of the situation and realize just how bad things are for the once reigning reality-singing competition program as it announced that not only has it decided to cancel nine of its tour dates (from 40 stops down to 30) but it also moved the starting date. A spokesperson had released a statement which said:
“Due to production scheduling changes, the American Idol 2013 Tour will now begin on July 19th and go through the summer until August 31st. The Idols look forward to performing in 30 venues.”
